La Habra, CA – After an extensive interview process, the La Habra City School District (LHCSD), Ms. Dina Putnam is recommended to the LHCSD Board of Education as the next principal of El Cerrito Elementary School. The appointment will be on the agenda for the June 9 Board of Education meeting. This choice is the result of district realignment and the recent promotion of El Cerrito's current principal, Msgr. Mrs. Putnam has 27 years of experience in education, all dedicated to the students and families of LHCSD. He began teaching at El Cerrito in 1995 and moved to his current position in 2014 as a special assignment teacher. Ms. Putnam has served in several administrative roles, including administrative appointment, interim principal, summer school director, and extended learning opportunities administrative appointment. The yearbook advisor, who is used to interacting with yearbook staff and classes, said it was strange not seeing her students.

OkSDE has also suspended all classes, after-school care, extracurricular activities, athletics, professional development seminars, special education services and activities.
