Like other parents, I have to plan family fun throughout the year (sports, sports activities, entertainment, travel, etc.). To make these decisions, it always helps to do your research and make a list of pros and cons. I thought it would be helpful to give you that side note when it comes to Dollywood Season Passes for 2023. What's best for your family? See below to compare and contrast the benefits. There have been a few updates since last year when we introduced the premium Season Pass system, so check out the pass categories below before you buy!

The first thing you need to know about the Diamond Pass is that we only sell a limited amount. If you don't buy this card soon, you may not have options later. (For these benefits and privileges to be privileged, only a few people can claim them.)

Dollywood Officially Open For 37th Season

Diamond is the highest level of our Dollywood Season Pass. It offers the best of the best: the biggest discounts, the best access, free tickets that bring the most friends – and this year, those comp tickets are non-stop! Diamond includes unlimited admission to Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country.

Those with Diamond Passes will be invited to special events like Early Ride Time on Saturdays and Golden Events (see festival previews and meet and greet performers). This summer we're hosting a Q&A with one of the creators of the Gazillion Bubble Show! When Dolly announced our plans for 2023, Diamond Pass holders were invited to hear about Big Bear Mountain (from Dolly herself!). Many events are for diamonds and gold, but there are some events like the Big Bear Mountain Proclamation – which is only for diamond owners.

Diamond tickets also serve as time-saving passes for the first hour of each weekday. We call this time the Golden Hour. Anyone with a Diamond or Gold Season Pass can use the ID. To access the TimeSaver queue for the first hour of each working day. If you plan it well, you can knock down three or more coasters before 11 o'clock!

Dollywood Announces What's New In 2023

Buy a Diamond Pass in advance and get a trophy for the whole season with your card! This is a limited time offer. For every Diamond Pass you purchase, you'll receive a free souvenir mug that you can refill at the park's drink stations throughout the season. It's only available for the Diamond Season Pass – and only for a limited time.

I mentioned that Diamond owners have unlimited access to both the theme park and the water park. You can even get a reserved spot in the shade at the water park if you arrive at 11am. It's the VIP treatment! And don't forget, you have the opportunity to add a Dining Pass to the water park, which means you'll get a snack every time you visit!

With Gold, you get unlimited visits to Dollywood. (You can upgrade to Two-Park Gold for unlimited visits to Dollywood's Splash Country, too.) This year, your free premium tickets won't expire!

Dollywood Theme Park

As a Gold holder, you are invited to Early Ride Time on Saturdays and Gold events (such as festival previews and meet and greets with performers). Buy the Gold Pass in advance and get a glass for your daily refill with your card! This is a limited time offer. For every Gold Pass you buy, you'll get a souvenir mug that you can refill for free at park drink stations the first day you use it, and then for $0.99 the rest of the season.

Big Bear Mountain Roller Coaster: Dolly Parton Announces Longest Rollercoaster Ever At Dollywood Will Open In Spring Of 2023

Important note: I no longer recommend the Gold Pass for families. Now that the structure has changed, there are times when you want to visit days that are closed to cardholders, or when you want to take advantage of Golden Events or Golden Hours. You don't want to deal with heartburn. I recommend everyone to have both types of passes.

If you purchased a Gold Pass and later realize you want the biggest discounts on food/merchandise/lodging and invitations to all special events, upgrade to a Diamond Season Pass by calling 1-800 -Dollywood while supplies last.

This is the most economical option. I like to think of it as an empty-I-just-want-to-visit-Dollywood-a-few-times option. There are no bells and whistles in the form of special invitations, discounts or free parking. Silver season passes will have an expiration date of 2023. Get two free Bring-A-Friend tickets with every Silver Pass, but there is a date when you can't use these computer tickets. (Diamonds and gold are never electrified. Keep that in mind when weighing things. Good luck.) See the calendar for reference. If you purchase a Silver Pass for children (ages 4-9), the pass functions like our Pre-K Pass, which must be used in conjunction with an adult pass. If your adult card is gold or diamond, your child with a silver card can arrive on the silver adult cut-off date.

Blackout dates have been added to reduce wait times and improve the overall visitor experience during peak hours.

You can add a visit to Dollywood's Splash Country with the Silver Pass. Be sure to check out the two-park season ticket option!

In Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Dollywood Kicks Off Its 37th Season

No purchase is required to enroll children born in 2018 or 2019 for the free Pre-K Imagination Pass. All in all, if you have a baby born around this time and happen to be visiting Dollywood or Dollywood's Splash Country, sign up! Pre-K tickets are unlimited for both the theme park and the water park, so we recommend parents get a two-park pass to get the best value. Since it's a free card, it doesn't come with any extras, but I think the free entry is great. Children under 4 do not need a ticket. You can register your child born in 2018 or 2019 at any time.

I want to make one more note for Platinum Pass holders. It belongs to the "other" category because it cannot be purchased. This is a special gift for audience members who have visited 20 Dollywood's

Anniversary of the opening of the season. Does not qualify for special offers such as Golden Hours and Golden Events. If you would like to receive these benefits, you can call 1-800-Dollywood to discuss your options.

Dollywood Opens Smoky Mountain Christmas

If you are a 2022 season ticket holder or registered for presale, you can now buy tickets for 2023. Season pass holders only need to log into their account, and registrants will receive an access code via email. If you haven't received that email yet, please wait. It's on its way. You can also call 1-800-Dollywood.

March, April, May: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays (8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays). The park is closed on Easter (April 9) and Tuesdays from April 11 to May 30.

Tennessee Attractions Pulling In Record Crowds

June and July: Open daily. From June 1 to 16, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. From June 17 to August 6, the park is open until 9:30 p.m.

August 7 – September 21: Check the schedule as closing times vary. The park is usually closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Nov. 11-Jan. 6, 2024: The park will reopen on November 11 and will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The park is closed on several days, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so check the schedule before booking.

Wildwood Grove Archives

The park adds 15 days to its schedule, sprinkled throughout the year. It's time to ride thrill rides and grab everything that touches your feet!
