Mtsu Academic Calendar 2020 21 – Scholars Week is a week-long tradition in which academic colleges celebrate scholarship, research and creativity through a variety of programs and events.
College of Basic and Applied Sciences – Scientists Day March 22 CBAS Scholars Week 2022 The CBAS Poster Session will be held on March 22, 2022 in the Science Building Atrium from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded. For the best undergraduate, graduate and graduate poster presentations.

Students and faculty are invited to join us for the 2022 CLA Fellows Day. Scientific and creative presentations will be presented at the event as part of the Scientists' Week. Participation in all college disciplines is encouraged, as are interdisciplinary offerings.
CLA Scholars Day will also feature the Scholars Week speech competition hosted by the Department of Communication Studies. Hosted by the College of Liberal Arts, the event is open to any current student who has completed or enrolled in COMM 2200 on campus. More information and applications for this event/speech contest are available online.
The CBAS Poster Session will be held virtually in 2021 and will be available for viewing from April 12-23, 2021. We invite all CBAS faculty and students to attend the CBAS poster session through the symposium. Access to the event will be available from April 12 at https://symposium.foragerone.com/scholarsweek/presentations. To view the CBAS poster presentations, select Basic and Applied Sciences under the College tab. Winners of the CBAS poster sessions at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels will be announced on Friday, April 16.

The President's Commission on the Status of Women has partnered with the Rutherford Alliance for the Arts and the American Association of University Women to host a virtual tea party on August 11, 2020. Burns listed five strategic priorities for QUEST 2025: develop a comprehensive faculty development program to integrate high-impact practices into core curricula; fill achievement gaps and increase faculty and staff diversity; online, hybrid, and off-site offerings, adaptive scheduling, and increased curriculum flexibility; support a culture of service in all university departments; and create more live broadcast opportunities on campus.
• Transform graduate degrees to meet market demands, including the content and delivery of degree programs that ensure access, equity and quality.

• Revise the summer schedule to make financial aid more accessible to students who wish to continue their courses during the summer.
Some of the more ambitious proposals contained in QUEST 2025 include creating more residential study spaces on campus; Work to increase the number of graduates from the current 13% to 20% of MSSU's student population; Expanding business and corporate partnerships in metro Nashville; and work with local governments to create an "academic, cultural and commercial district" near Murfreesboro University.
"To be sure, the Quest 2025 implementation plan is ambitious," he said. "This is because Quest 2025 intersects with our academic master plan, achievement of difference and our university master plan (facilities).

McPhee and Burns were joined by Vice Provost Vincent Windo, who will oversee the implementation of the program, and MTSU junior Will Rosser, who spoke about how student success efforts have helped keep it going despite the global COVID-19 pandemic.
"This is an incredibly important initiative in the life of our institution," Windrow said, "and will again help shape the student experience, the faculty experience and the staff experience moving forward."
