We put you in control of your financial aid Providing the best student experience is important to us, and we heard your feedback loud and clear. Starting September 21, 2021, FTCC's Office of Financial Aid is introducing a new easy, mobile, in-person portal that makes everything about financial aid verification easier. Visit .studentforms.com to get started when the new portal launches.
Education, Technology And Innovation Under One Roof
Your financial aid journey begins by completing the online FAFSA application. Explore information and videos to learn more about available financial aid opportunities. Please contact our office with any questions or concerns.
The Office of Financial Aid always communicates with students through the FTCC student email. Once the Department of Education receives the data from students' Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), FTCC will send an email to notify students that their information has been received and that the next step needs to be taken. . (The confirmation email students receive from the Department of Education confirms that the FAFSA has been submitted. The email from the Department of Education does not confirm that aid has been packaged into FTCC. )
Real-time financial aid data such as missing documents, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status, offer information, lifetime Pell eligibility, loan history and amounts, etc. is available in Self-Service. Students are encouraged to check their email and self-service accounts regularly. Go to the Financial Aid Lab in the Tony Rand Student Center, Room 131, for help.

To ensure that aid is available to increase tuition and books, the FAFSA and any required documents must be submitted by the FTCC priority deadlines listed below:
If you missed the financial aid priority deadline, you will still be encouraged to file the FAFSA. Less money may be available from government grants and scholarships. Students who submit the FAFSA after the priority deadline must make other payment arrangements to pay for their tuition, fees, and books if aid is not offered prior to payment of enrollment.
Tuition payment plans break up your tuition balance into affordable monthly payments. No interest, payment options are flexible, setup fees are affordable and signing up is easy!

*Financial aid payments will vary by enrollment status, such as when financial aid is bundled, class start date, enrollment level, etc. Students are responsible for dropping in and out of classes on time to avoid overpaying financial aid.
Some grants, scholarships and loans are need-based. The Department of Education will determine your need based on the information you provide on your FAFSA. This amount is called the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC). The FTCC will use this formula to determine need.
Individuals who choose to participate in the William D. Ford subsidized and unsubsidized loan programs should be aware that subsidized loans are repaid each semester in three installments. Each student's loan amount is affected by the number of credit hours and the start date of the courses.
