Nyx Calendar 2023 – It should have been in my possession before Christmas, but with my hectic schedule we didn't get around to giving out all the gifts, so now that I'm sure not everyone is buying it, it's time for me to give you some back! I'm sure many of you have seen the NYX Sugar Trip Advent Calendar with its fun packaging and 24 days of makeup, and now that I've had a chance to play around and see what's inside, I'm so excited to see who got this calendar for them!

This limited edition calendar features a mix of fan favorite lippies including favorite butter glosses (my first NYX love) and soft matte lip creams, eye shadows, highlighters, blushes and lip oils!

When I first opened the box and saw the packaging, I thought, "Holy moly, there are so many colors!" Except I didn't really know what to make of it, but when I showed the calendar to a friend's teenage daughter, she thought. It's the best thing ever. Am I too old to understand artwork? Did my parents feel the same way when they wanted to decorate my entire bedroom with Lisa Frank? The three highlighters and one blush are all full size, so using a regular size brush in this pan is no problem. I hate when you have to use travel size brushes for swatches. Highlighters aren't "2018 beams of light you can see from space," but they still hold a lot of light.

The six eyeshadows come in small pairs: Licorice Lane, Whipped Wonderland and Sweet Chateau, each pair containing a matte and a metallic shade. While matte colors have never been my favorite, I understand they have their purpose in eye looks, but as a holiday collection, I fit in perfectly with all the metallic blues and greens!

Most of this calendar is lip products, but when I see NYX, it's definitely lip products! Soft matte lip creams and butter glosses are my must-haves and I still take them with me when I travel because they're the perfect MLBB but with a non-sticky finish. Two of my favorite products are featured in this thumbnail-sized calendar and some extra fun shades that may not be holiday themed, but are sure to push you out of your comfort zone!
