Nisdtx Calendar 2023 23 – Following school board approval, Northwest ISD's instructional calendar for the next two school years — 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 — is now set and will reflect the current district calendar.
As per previous comments, both calendars will follow the 2021-2022 calendar with holidays in line with the current calendar, with the only change being based on fall dates based on changes in the year. Voters approved the calendar for the next two school years based on previous feedback from families that the biennial approval process provided in advance to help plan school and work breaks.

Both calendars contain major holidays—Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring—that conform to NISD's traditional length and format. This includes extra breaks for students right after winter break and right after spring break to help teachers prepare.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the school will begin accepting students on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 and close on Friday, May 26, 2023. 2023 and ends on Friday. , 23 May 2024.

Calendars Approved For 2022 2023, 2023 2024
For any canceled or delayed events, the event coordinator or school will notify families of new plans once finalized. Northwest ISD will continue to monitor the weather and will notify families directly if there are any further schedule changes. The district plans to make a decision on holding classes by noon Wednesday. Tuesday Northwest ISD will hold its fourth annual Teacher Career Fair on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Byron Nelson High School.

The Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced the 2022-23 and 2023-24 football, basketball and volleyball assignments Thursday, Feb. 3, by school count.
Byron Nelson High School and V.R. Eaton High School will play in the same 6A sport for the next two years, while United High School will continue to play in 5A with the addition of a separate basketball court.
As a result of the realignment process, Byron Nelson and Eaton High Schools will remain in the same 6A district. They will compete in District 4-6A for the next two school years, while North High School will compete in District 3-5A Section I football and District 5-5A in volleyball and softball.
Northwest Isd To Rezone Attendance Boundaries
In District 4-6A, the Byron Nelson Bobcats and Eaton Eagles will compete against South Lake Carroll and four Keller ISD schools — Central, Keller, Fossil Ridge and Timber Creek — in basketball, soccer and volleyball. This is the same Athletes City as it has been with the addition of Haltom over the past two years. The Northwest Texans will compete in District 3-5A Division I football against Aledo, Azle, Burleson Centennial, Denton Ryan, Fort Worth South Hills, The Colony, Saginaw and White Settlement Brewer.
In basketball and volleyball, Northwest will compete in District 5-5A with Aledo, Azle, Granbury, Saginaw, White Settlement Brewer and Wichita Falls Rider. Basketball and volleyball districts are updated each year, although they usually don't change unless there is a biennial realignment involving football.
The cut-off for Class 6A for 2022-23 and 2023-24 is set at 2,225 or more enrolled students. The cut-off limit for Class 5A has been set for an enrollment of 1,300 and 2,224 students.
New Uil Districts Set For 2022 23, 2023 24
Eaton released Northwest ISD's largest enrollment projection for the 2022-23 school year at 2,988 students. Byron Nelson posted an enrollment estimate of 2,735 students and Northwest posted an enrollment estimate of 2,176.
Northwest High School will be expanded as part of the district's bond package voted on by voters in 2021. The expansion will allow the school to accommodate 3,200 students, with the option to reclassify to 6A in the future.
