Skidmore Academic Calendar 2023 24 – Johnson Tower and J. Johnson Campus Named after Eric Johnson's wife, Margaret Johnson. Texas Instruments founder and former Dallas Mayor J. Johnson was instrumental in moving from downtown Saratoga Springs to its current location. As a trustee, he and his wife convinced him to buy property in Woodlawn and build a brand new campus on park-like grounds. A portrait of Mrs. Johnson hangs on the ground floor of the Johnson Tower.
The basement of Johnson Tower houses campus security and college radio station WSPN. On the ground floor of the Johnson Tower is the Medical Services and Counseling Center.

A multicultural community is a special interest option that gives students the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the diverse experiences of their peers. The community is open to students of all races and nationalities.
Gender Inclusive Housing is an option offered in our residences that allows students to live outside the standard boundaries of legal gender housing. Spaces in gender-inclusive housing are open to legally gender-identifying and/or gender-identifying students. Students can share a room or dorm with people of different gender identities.
Gender sensitive rooms are available on the 3rd floor of Wake Hall and the 9th floor of Johnson Tower.

The PRISM community is committed to celebrating the lives and experiences of students who identify with the LGBTQ+ community. We recognize the intersectionality of identity and create spaces where LGBTQ+ people can feel valued, safe and connected through targeted programming efforts. By discussing LGBTQ+ history, activism and current events, residents of this community can expand their knowledge and participate in the life of the LGBTQ+ community.
Preserving our historical roots as a women's college, the college now offers women's floors in our residences. This floor offers our students the opportunity to live in a community of other women.
Please note that due to software limitations, students whose gender identity does not match the legal gender registered with the university must contact the residence hall office directly to verify this community.

Quiet Floors is a community designed to provide a more peaceful environment than most residences and hopes to create an environment that meets the needs of students who require a quiet environment to study. The plan respects quiet hours 24/7 throughout the year. Students residing in the area who violate quiet time may be asked to leave the community.
Welcome to Johnson Tower! We are the highest point in Saratoga Springs. There are many wonderful resources hidden within the walls of our mixed-use building. We not only maintain a 10-story residential complex, but also provide medical services, campus security, and a counseling center. If you're looking for ways to make the most of your time at university, relax in one of our window seats for great views of downtown Saratoga, the Daniel Trail National Forest, or even Saratoga Lake. Men's Basketball Hosts Skidmore In Post Season
Skidmore College is a liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, New York. With a student population of around 2,600, the campus is relatively small but still large enough to welcome new students every day. Forms close relationships with professors and classmates in small classes. It's not every big party school, but it has a good social life and is in a good city.
